So what comes first, action or confidence? As confidence is a type of faith, and as faith is a principle of action, it would seem that confidence might precede any kind of action. Some level of belief is required to act. However, I have seen people--and witnessed in myself--that sometimes I just have to do something whether I have any confidence in a positive outcome or not. There are times when, though it seems that nothing will work and my confidence is dim, action produces a new sense of purpose and confidence appears to grow.
So which comes first? I don't know. But I know that applying one--confidence or action--can increase the other. Right now I need both to grow, and in a situation like that, I'd say that action comes first, with confidence right on its heels.
